The Story

We do not just cut hair —
we design identity.

Assort is a hybrid salon: the precision and hospitality — omotenashi — of Japanese hairdressing, fused with the creative freedom and diversity of the West.

Juunin Toiro — ten people, ten colors. The name Assort comes from assortment: like a box of premium chocolates, each of us is distinct, and each guest deserves a style of their own. Across our salons we are all reading the same book, just different chapters — and that book is the love for beauty.

Amsterdam is our Canal Ring chapter — on Kerkstraat, serving the city in English and Japanese.

Got a haircut by Yuki for the second time. I decided to get a pixie cut this time and wanted to get it cut by somebody who i was certain would get it exactly right, which Yuki did!! After almost falling asleep during the hair wash, I got the perfect haircut. I am very happy with the result and only wishes I lived closer by so that I could get my hair cut here more often :)

Haruka was very particular with my hair and specified every step with me, as well as giving me some useful tips when it comes to styling my hair type! Cancellation Policy

We ask that you reschedule or cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment.

Changes within 24 hours of the appointment time, and no-shows, are charged 100% of the booked service price.

All cancellations and reschedules are made through Fresha, our online booking system.

Running late? 30-minute services hold your chair for 10 minutes, cancelled after 15 with no contact; standard services hold for 15 minutes, cancelled after 30; and services of 3 hours or more hold for 30 minutes — after that the booking is released as a no-show.
