Haarlem is the capital of the province of North Holland. It is only a 15 minute train ride from Amsterdam.

Haarlem has been the historical center of the tulip bulb growing district for centuries and bears the nickname “Blormenstad” (flower city). There are many hidden flower gardens all over thin city you can find. Every Saturday Grote Markt is open to eat local traditional foods such as cheeses and sausages, and of course lots of flowers!

Beer brewing is also a very important industry in Haarlem. In the 15th century there were no fewer than 100 breweries in the city. There is an original Haarlem beer called Jopen named after an old type of beer barrel. There is an old church that has been transformed into a grand brewery and restaurant, Jopenkerk.

Please go take the short visit to Haarlem and experience a truly beautiful and historical day in Netherlands:)
